12 years ago today, “Dancing in the Street” was announced as one of the 50 latest sound recordings to be preserved by the Library of Congress to the National Recording Registry.
Of course, the version designated for preservation was the original version by Martha and the Vandellas, a song which was and remains part of the Motown Records catalog. That said, we’ve got several versions of the song in our catalog, too, so we thought we’d spotlight them for you and then put them in a playlist for your listening enjoyment.
