1979 saw the release of the highly anticipated blockbuster film, The Blues Brothers. Inspired by the careers of Sam Moore & Dave Prater, the film brought a resurgence of interest in the duo. With big hits including “Soul Man” and “Hold On, I’m Coming,” the “Dynamic Duo” opened shows for The Clash throughout 1979 – including a sell-out show at The Palladium in New York. This energetic, gospel-infused performance reconfirmed their status as one of the best live acts from the 60s.
