Cheech & Chong
American Cheech Marin and Canadian Tommy Chong met in Vancouver in the late 1960s and soon became counterculture icons. In 1978, the duo made their big screen debut in UP IN SMOKE, playing wannabe musicians who unwittingly smuggle a van made of marijuana from Mexico to L.A. Produced and directed by famed music man Lou Adler, the comedy classic was a smash hit and retains its cultural relevance decades later. The accompanying album features songs like “Earache My Eye,” “Framed” and the title track along with high-larious dialogue from the film (and was named one of the 10 best stoner movie soundtracks by Billboard in 2017). You don't need to light up to put a smile on your face – one listen to Cheech & Chong's UP IN SMOKE will do the trick!
