As the population of the world at large continues to work their way through all of the series that have accumulated in their Netflix queues over the last little while, you may have hit upon I Am Not Okay With This, which premiered last month. If so, then there’s a solid possibility that you’ve blown through all seven episodes, in which case you’ve hit an impossible-to-unsee scene in the season finale that utilizes a killer song from the Echo & The Bunnymen discography. Since not everyone knows the Bunnymen and/or their back catalog, however, we thought we’d fill you in on what this song is.

The lead single from Echo and the Bunnymen’s 1984 album OCEAN RAIN, “The Killing Moon” has often been described as the best song the Bunnymen ever recorded, and the band isn’t likely to disagree with that assessment. Indeed, lead singer Ian McCulloch once said of the track, “When I sing ‘The Killing Moon,’ I know there isn't a band in the world who's got a song anywhere near that.”

Granted, it’s possible that Netflix devotees may well know “The Killing Moon” already, since it was utilized in both the second and third seasons of 13 Reasons Why. Amazon Prime viewers might know it, too, since Red Oaks used it during its third and final season. The song gets around: it’s also popped up on HBO (Mrs. Fletcher), DC Universe (Titans), SyFy (Deadly Class), and Showtime (Billions). But just in case you didn’t know it... Well, now you do!
