RHINO Celebrates 45 Years of The Band's THE LAST WALTZ

Rhino Records launches a 45th-anniversary celebration of The Band’s iconic concert film, The Last Waltz, with festivities including a new 3-LP audiophile pressing - arriving on October 6 at Rocktober participating retailers (see the full tracklist below) – screenings and panels, a release party, and the film’s triumphant return to theaters.

Celebrations kicked off at Americanafest in Nashville with “The Eternal Waltz: Curating and Perpetuating the Legacy of The Band” panel, including Bob Santelli (Executive Director of the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music), Amy Helm (Levon Helm’s daughter, singer-songwriter, and owner of Levon Helm Studios), and Olivier Chastan (Iconoclast founder).

Thursday, October 5, there will be a special screening of the film and an engaging panel discussion at the Grammy® Museum in Los Angeles. Leading the discussion: Mark Pinkus (President, Rhino Entertainment), Olivier Chastan (Iconoclast founder), and Harvey Kubernik (writer and journalist). Get more details and tickets HERE.

Friday, October 6, in Nashville: Relive The Last Waltz by joining us for a night of celebration filled with timeless music, delectable food, exclusive merchandise and vinyl, plus an awe-inspiring exhibit featuring Ernst Haas' iconic photos of The Band and Bob Dylan from their legendary Academy of Music performances. To top it all off, we've arranged a whiskey-tasting experience featuring blends distilled especially for The Band and Bob Dylan, as well as a Q&A with legendary producer and engineer Rob Fraboni. Attendees can also enjoy a whiskey tasting featuring WhistlePig 12 Year Robbie’s Blend, harmonizing the heartfelt notes of The Band with the complexity of three Old World Wine barrels.
