Peloton Launches New NILE RODGERS Classes and Workouts
Yowsah, yowsah, yowsah! Fans of classic dance music can work up a sweat with a legend via a new series of classes and workouts based around the music of Chic icon Nile Rodgers. The series launched this week (February 1st) kicking off Black History Month with four classes across three modalities, including one class in German. All of the classes will be live. See the list of available classes here.
Members will receive an artist series badge for completing any of the Nile Rogers classes. If you’re looking to acquire more badges, you can check out the complete list of badges in the Peloton guide.
It's a big week for Rodgers, who's among the artists being lauded with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 2023 Grammys over the weekend. Also receiving the honor: Nirvana, The Supremes, Slick Rick, Ma Rainey, Bobby McFerrin, and Heart’s Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson.
The Recording Academy’s Special Merit Awards Ceremony will take place on February 4, 2023, at Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, a day before the main Grammy Awards ceremony. The event will also honor the Trustees Award recipients (Henry Diltz, Ellis Marsalis, and Jim Stewart), and the Technical Grammy recipients (the Audio Engineering Society and Dr Andy Hildebrand).
Never one to rest on his creative laurels, Rodgers recently revealed that he's working on new music with St. Vincent. On Instagram, he called St. Vincent "so real deal," and the experience in the studio with her as "fucking wonderful."
