Out Now: The Stooges, THE STOOGES: 50TH ANNIVERSARY SUPER DELUXE VERSION

This year marks the 50th anniversary of The Stooges’ self-titled album, one of those rare LPs about which you can truly say that it changed rock ‘n’ roll, in that it served to pave the way for the punk rock revolution of the ‘70s. To commemorate the occasion, Rhino has just dropped a new digital Super Deluxe Edition of THE STOOGES, one which includes the original album, alternate versions, studio outtakes, and John Cale’s rejected mix of the full album, now at the correct speed.

Many of these tracks have never been available digitally before, so this is kind of a big deal, as is only appropriate for a 50th anniversary celebration. Be sure to snap up a copy!
