Out Now: Aretha Franklin, AMAZING GRACE: THE COMPLETE RECORDINGS
Which Aretha Franklin album was the biggest-selling LP of her career? If you don’t already know, then you might be surprised to discover that it was actually her 1972 gospel album AMAZING GRACE. Then again, you might not be surprised, since the title of that album is listed in big print directly above this paragraph. Either way, though, it’s true. It’s also the best-selling live gospel album of all time, it won Franklin a Grammy for Best Soul Gospel Performance, and in the wake of the 2018 documentary about the making of that album, it’s now been released on vinyl for the first time ever.
Recorded at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles on January 13 and 14, 1972, AMAZING GRACE: THE COMPLETE RECORDINGS is a 4-LP set, and it contains more than double the number of tracks that it did upon its original release.
Here’s the full track listing for your viewing enjoyment, and – just to reiterate – it’s now available via your music retailer of choice for your listening enjoyment!
