Now Available: The Notorious B.I.G., READY TO DIE: 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION BOXED SET
In 1994, Christopher Wallace – known to his fans as The Notorious B.I.G. – helped define East Coast hip-hop for a new generation with his debut album, READY TO DIE. To commemorate its anniversary, Rhino has teamed with the website GetOnDown.com to release a new limited-edition box set which offers the entire album plus two bonus tracks - across nine 7” colored-vinyl singles.
As noted, this is a limited-edition set – there’ll only be 3,500 copies pressed – and it looks like it: the singles are housed in a cigar-style box with gloss and metallic accents, and it features a booklet which offers liner notes from writer Kathy Iandoli, stories from Easy Mo Bee and Chucky Thompson, who helped to produce the album, and heretofore-unpublished photos from the time period.
