Happy Birthday: Jerry Garcia

Today we celebrate the birthday of a man who means a great deal to us here at Rhino Records, just as we know he means at least as much – if not more – to millions upon millions of Grateful Dead fans around the world.

That’s right: it’s Jerry Garcia’s birthday. It’s time to celebrate!

How should you celebrate? Well, that’s up to you, but we do have a few suggestions for those of you who tend to frequent social media, including two hashtags:

Head to the social media of your choice, use those hashtags, and post whatever comes to mind, whether it’s a memory, an offhanded observation, a thought, a knock-knock joke… And, hey, there’s always the option to share your favorite Grateful Dead song or video clip, right?

We’ve also got a pretty awesome Days Between logo that you can use as your profile pic today…or any day, really, but today’s definitely a good day to start!

Lastly, we must remind you that although it feels like it should be a national holiday, the majority of US workplaces will still expect you to find your way into the office today, and when you do so, it should be in a state that will allow you to complete the typical requirements of your job. We’re not going to spell it out any more than that. You know what’s up.
