Eric Clapton Reveals 2021 U.S. Tour Dates
Eric Clapton has recovered from a nasty bout with side effects from the coronavirus vaccine, and is ready to bring his guitar virtuosity back to America for an eight-city tour in September. The run of shows kicks off September 13 in Fort Worth, Texas, and ends in Hollywood, Florida, on September 26. See the full itinerary below.
Clapton's band for the shows will include guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, organist Paul Carrack, bassist Nathan East, drummers Sonny Emory and Steve Gadd, keyboardist Chris Stainton, and backup singers Sharon White and Katie Kissoon. Jimmie Vaughan will serve as the opening act.
The shows will mark Clapton's first public performances since the start of the pandemic last year. In the meantime, the guitarist has come out as a staunch anti-vaxxer, suffering severe side effects to the vaccine. He most recently recorded anti-lockdown track, "Stand and Deliver," with Van Morrison.
