Doing a 180: Sisters of Mercy, The Floodland Era Collection
Spinal Tap might've been the band that popularized the phrase “none more black,” but Sisters of Mercy have made a career out of it: they are amongst the gothiest of all the goth bands, and they've delivered some truly bleak material that has nonetheless managed to fill more than a few dance floors over the years.
If you're a DJ who appreciates spinning dark tracks or perhaps just a fan of the band who favors vinyl, then you'll be excited about the 180-gram pressing of The Floodland Era Collection, a four-piece set that includes the Floodland album along with its three singles:
“This Corrison” - features the 12” version of the song, a different mix of “Floodland,” and the B-sides “Torch” and “Colours.” “Dominion” - features the 12” version, a different mix, and the B-sides “Untitled,” “Sandstorm,” and “Emma,” a cover of the Hot Chocolate classic). “Lucretia My Reflection” - features the nine-minute 12” version and the B-side “Long Train.”
The whole thing comes packed in what the press release describes as a handsome rigid slipcase, so if you're the sort of person who often describes slipcases as “handsome,” boy, are you in luck!
