Celebrating Jerry Garcia: Days Between Jerome John Garcia – better known to his friends, family, and Grateful Dead fans as Jerry – was born on August 1, 1942 and died on August 9, 1995. As such, the days between August 1 and August 9 are celebrated by fans as...what else? The Days Between. It’s considered a time to celebrate the life and career of Jerry Garcia, and if you find yourself wondering what you can do to participate in the celebrate, well, wonder no more: we’ve got seven solid suggestions for you!

1. Download the official “Days Between” graphic!

In honor of Jerry, we're turning social media upside out and inside down with a very special Days Between design. Simply download the graphic to your desktop and upload it as your profile picture on your favorite platform from August 1st to the 9th.

2. Listen to the “Days Between 2020” playlist!

Jerry once said, “What we’re thinking about is a peaceful planet. We’re not thinking about anything else. We’re not thinking about any kind of power. We’re not thinking about any kind of struggles. We’re not thinking about revolution or war or any of that. That’s not what we want. Nobody wants to get hurt. Nobody wants to hurt anybody. We would all like to be able to live an uncluttered life. A simple life, a good life. And think about moving the whole human race ahead a step, or a few steps.” Words to live by. And if you’d also like some music to live by, then check out this special playlist that we’ve put together for the occasion.
