A New Year's Playlist

New Year's Eve has long been one of the best nights of the year for those who perpetually fight for their right to party, but there are two very distinct types of New Year's Eve parties: the ones that more or less start wrapping up at 12:01 a.m., and the ones attended by people who consider 12:01 a.m. the beginning of the 59 minute countdown 'til the start of the new year in the next time zone. If you're concerned that your party is in the former category when you'd rather that it was in the latter category, then we've got the perfect playlist to help increase the odds that you'll be able to party on 'til the break of dawn.

We don't want to spoil too many of the contents for you - we'd much rather you checked them out for yourself - but it kicks off with Chic's “Good Times,” features a little Madonna, some Bee Gees, a bit of Bruno Mars, a dab of Duran Duran, and plenty more party tunes to keep you jumping.
