Comprising double-disc editions of each of their six Jim Morrison-era album classics - all enhanced with rare & previously unreleased audio and video plus 5.1 mixes and more - a limited edition of PERCEPTION sold out almost immediately. A must-have set for Doors fans, this epic 12-disc box is finally available again - the sleek new revamped version houses digipak editions of the six expanded titles in one handsome slipcase format. The PERCEPTION boxed set features two-disc CD/DVD editions of: The project was assembled in cooperation with surviving Doors members John Densmore, Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek, with the group's longtime engineer Bruce Botnick - who worked on the original recordings - producing. Stunning new 40th anniversary mixes of each of the six albums were created to include long-lost parts recorded during the initial sessions that were left out of earlier releases. The disc one audio CDs for each title present the original album plus rare and previously unreleased bonus tracks, live cuts and studio banter. The disc two DVDs feature the entire album and bonus material in 5.1 Surround Sound, new Advanced Resolution stereo and Dolby Digital DTS mixes. Bonus DVD content for each album also includes videos and other rare footage, a photo gallery and lyrics. In-depth liner notes by prominent authors further enhance PERCEPTION: Ben Fong-Torres (The Doors and L.A. Woman), Barney Hoskyns (Strange Days), Paul Williams (Waiting For The Sun), and David Fricke (The Soft Parade and Morrison Hotel). Bruce Botnick also wrote an introductory essay for each title, and in his piece for The Doors' final album, L.A.
