Beast Wars Transformers
BEAST WARS TRANSFORMERSBeast Wars Transformers: The Complete Third Season$29.95 DVD If you like Transformers, you're going to love Beast Wars -- available for the first time in the U.S. This collectible box includes 13 original, uncut episodes on two DVDs. Disc 1 Episode 1: Deep Metal–In space, a Cybertronian ship with a mysterious occupant is tracking the lost "Protoform X," the science experiment now known as Rampage. The ship is pulled into a wormhole and crashes on prehistoric Earth, where the pilot is reformatted and emerges as Depth Charge. Elsewhere, Rampage senses a kindred spirit, and goes off stalking some elusive prey. Depth Charge and Rampage finally meet and trade blows, but not before various Maximals and Predacons arrive, noticing the rivalry. What is the lost history between these two bitter enemies? Episode 2: Changing of the Guard–Rhinox is unable to connect Maximal technology to the ancient Autobot computer system Tele-Traan 1 inside the Ark. Using a small subaquatic vehicle, Rattrap goes searching for Sentinel, the Maximals' computer automated weaponary defense system, now at the bottom of the sea with the remnants of the lost Axalon. But Rampage is on the prowl, and the murky depths prove to be a dangerous place for Rattrap. Depth Charge arrives to lend a defensive hand, but the battle for Sentinel escalates as Waspinator and Quick Strike appear. Episode 3: Cutting Edge–A silent metal dinosaur hunter stalks the proto-humans first seen in "Code of Hero." Rhinox surmises it is Megatron's handiwork, and the task of leading two proto-human children back to their tribe falls to Cheetor and Black Arachnia. Silverbolt is bothered by this, as Cheetor has developed a crush on the Predacon spider and is none too subtle about it. When Tarantulas arrives leading a pack of Cyber raptors, will two Maximals be enough to protect the innocent tribe? Episode 4: Feral Scream Part One–Optimus Primal and Cheetor are tracking Waspinator on a mission to deliver a stasis pod to Megatron, who plans to recreate the lost Dinobot as a subservient hunter. Megatron combines clone cels and the excised half of Rampage's spark with the blank protoform and charges the construct with an alien device. The operation is a success and Dinobot is reborn as a Transmetal 2! A firefight ensues, and Cheetor is caught in the Transmetal 2 device, causing a huge power surge. Episode 5: Feral Scream Part Two–Somehow changed from the Transmetal 2 accident, Cheetor is plagued by nightmares, but will neither enter the CR chamber for repair nor submit to a medical exam. Optimus Primal and Rhinox are worried, as well as puzzled by a strange beast that emerges from Cheetor's quarters. At Predacon HQ, Megatron has run into this mutated beast as well, and dispatches Waspinator and the cloned Dinobot to hunt it down. What is the mystery of the Transmetal 2 creature? Episode 6: Proving Grounds–The Maximals look on as Rhinox scans Black Arachnia and discovers the shell program encoded into her core by Tarantulas. This is the very same code that initially turned Black Arachnia from a blank protoform Maximal into a Predacon. Rhinox explains that separating it would free the spider of any last vestiges of Predacon control, but could also wipe out her mind. Frustrated by all the medical talk and her inability to do anything about it, Black Arachnia goes off on her own to the forests outside. But stalking her is the Transmetal 2 hunter known as Dinobot. Episode 7: Go With The Flow–Cheetor and Rattrap teach Jack and Una, the proto-human children, simple machines and defensive techniques. High above on a mountain plateau, Megatron aims a gigantic cannon at the Ark. Unfortunately for Megatron, activating the weapon might short out Predacon circuitry, so Tarantulas suggests forcing the pre-human children into completing the last steps of the firing sequence. When Cheetor is injured and Una is kidnapped, Depth Charge and Rattrap head skyward to take on the Predacons. Crossing the Rubicon–Black Arachnia attempts to upgrade herself with Megatron's Transmetal 2 driver. She collapses, and begins suffering from seizures, an effect of the coded program left within her by Tarantulas. Rhinox volunteers to perform a risky operation which will sever the Predacon code from Black Arachnia's core consciousness. Immediately, Tarantulas is alerted that one of his embedded programs is being hacked. Megatron orders an attack on Maximal HQ to ensure the traitorous female spider dies on the operating table. Master Blaster–Waspinator leads a sortie to the Ark as a diversion for a more devious mission: Tarantulas implants a device inside Optimus Primal that allows Megatron to control the Maximal leader. With the help of Quick Strike, Megatron plans to enter the Ark using Primal's access codes, find the dormant body of the original Decepticon commander Megatron, and merge his namesake's spark with his own. Other Victories–Far away from Earth in a nebula-like cloud live the Vok, the aliens who seeded Earth with the strange devices that the Maximals and Predacons encountered throughout the last two and a half years. The Vok sense a disruption in the timestream emanating from Earth, a planet filled with their experiments but one which they believe were sterilized in "Other Voices." The aliens dispatch an emissary, a new Transformer made of the combined sparks of the long missing Tigaton and Airrazor. This powerful creature, named Tigerhawk, arrives on Earth and destroys the Darkside. He announces his intentions to arrest Megatron for disrupting the timestream. Nemesis Part One–As Tigerhawk adjusts to this new lease on life and the powerful abilities he has, Optimus Primal and Rhinox discuss the Covenant of Primus, an ancient book of Autobot wisdom and prophecy, and muse that the Beast Wars must end soon. The Predacons are without a base, and Megatron dispatches a team to look for new staging grounds while he investigates Tarantulas' recent schemes. To his elation, Megatron discovers that the arachnid scientist has pinpointed the location of the Nemesis, the battle cruiser that launched the [italics] Generation One [end italics] Decepticons from Cybertron before they boarded the Autobot Ark! Nemesis Part Two–Time is running out for the Maximals as Megatron draws to a close the epic three year saga of the Beast Wars. With the working Decepticon starship at his command, the Predacon leader is ready to return to Cybertron on a mission of conquest, leaving the Maximals stranded on prehistoric Earth. Optimus Primal leads a final, desperate mission, still hoping to safeguard the timestream as well as defeat his rival. Friend and foe alike fall as the Maximals and Predacons clash for the last time!
