Nothing sounds quite like their raw, fiery brew, which has earned a large and loyal cult following over the years. One of the most critically acclaimed alternative bands of the'90s, the Whigs originally formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1986. An early self-released LP led to a multi-album deal with Seattle-based indie Sub Pop, and their riveting 1990 release for that label is where this compilation—their first—begins.
