BLACK SABBATHMob Rules (Vinyl)$17.98 Vinyl Released in 1981, MOB RULES was Black Sabbath's second album featuring former Elf and Rainbow frontman Ronnie James Dio as the group's lead vocalist, following up the 1980 classic Heaven And Hell. It was also their first without original drummer Bill Ward, replaced here by Vinny Appice. Remastered to sound heavier than ever, Rhino's reissue of this metal masterpiece on vinyl features all original packaging. The album climbed to #29 in Billboard, and placed the singles “Turn Up The Night” and “Voodoo” on the mainstream rock chart. Highlights also include the high-octane rockers “Falling Off The Edge Of The World” and the title track, plus the epic slow-burner “The Sign Of The Southern Cross,” a Sabbath fan favorite. Black Sabbath's Dio-fronted line-up reformed in 2006 under the name Heaven And Hell when the singer convened with founding members Tony Iommi (guitar) and Terry “Geezer” Butler (bass) - and drummer Vinny Appice - to record new tracks for Rhino's compilation Black Sabbath: The Dio Years. The chemistry generated by their reunion led to an acclaimed Heaven And Hell world tour, live album and DVD in 2007. A new studio album - the line-up's first since 1992 - is slated for 2009. MOB RULES is also newly reissued on CD. Remastered CD and vinyl editions of the Dio-fronted Black Sabbath titles Heaven And Hell, Dehumanizer and Live Evil are also available.
