For all fans of misunderstood cinema and every broken-hearted viewer out there looking to fill the unearthly void left by the broadcast demise of Mystery Science Theater 3000, fear not! The only TV show otherworldly enough to offer critical analysis and outrageous wisecracks on fantastically awful B-movies from a man and his robot posse - who are trapped in a spaceship suspended high over the earth - is back! Rhino presents another box full of four previously unseen episodes with MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 COLLECTION, VOLUME 12, a four-disc set boasting a quartet of unaired shows, this time skewering The Rebel Set, Secret Agent Super Dragon, The Starfighters and Parts: The Clonus Horror.

In addition to the four previously unaired episodes and their dementedly dreadful films, the VOLUME 12 box contains bonus extras including: original theatrical trailers for the movies, more musical mayhem courtesy of the MST3K Video Jukebox, interviews with The Rebel Set star Don Sullivan and with Robert Fiveson, director of Parts: The Clonus Horror and other special features.

The brainchild of its original host, Joel Hodgson - who appears in two of VOLUME 12's episodes - MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 premiered on Comedy Central in 1989. Mike Nelson assumed hosting duties in '93, and he's featured on two episodes herein as well. After seven seasons, the show moved to the Sci-Fi Channel for another four, and throughout racheted up the laughs with humor both high and low. Considered by many aficionados to be the funniest show in television history, it's certainly one of the most truly “out there” in every way.

During its eleven years and 198 episodes (including one feature film), MST3K attained a fiercely loyal fan base, and much critical acclaim. The twice Emmy-nominated series also won a Cable Ace Award and a Peabody Award in 1993.

So, join humanoid B-movie victims Joel and Mike and snarky robots Crow and Tom Servo as they commandeer episodes sending up:

The Rebel Set: A coffee shop owner enlists three down-on-their-luck customers to help him rob an armored car. Plus short: Johnny At The Fair: a young boy wanders away from his parents at the Canadian National Exhibition.

Secret Agent Super Dragon: A secret agent comes out of retirement to stop a Dutch drug lord from taking over the world with hallucinogenic chewing gum.

The Starfighters: A young Air Force pilot is bent on winning the respect of his controlling father, a congressman and former flying ace.

Parts: The Clonus Horror: A curious clone becomes a fugitive from the law after learning the frightening truth about his existence.
