35 years on and Rhino still can't get enough of Bad Company.

Originally released in 1974 on Led Zeppelin's Swan Song label, Rhino is set to issue a re-mastered version Bad Company's explosive multi-platinum eponymous debut on 180-gram vinyl. Recorded in just 10 days at Headley Grange, a poor house turned rehearsal and recording studio for legendary groups such as Fleetwood Mac and Genesis, the record exemplified stripped down rock 'n' roll at a time when many artists aimed to be experimental. This back-to-basics approach was welcomed with a raucous cry, and BAD COMPANY, powered by its seamless and straightforward blend of blues, rock and country, hit #1 on the pop charts. The album cemented Bad Company's place in stadium-rock history - it scored 2 Top 20 singles with the swaggering “Can't Get Enough” and riff-heavy “Movin' On” and spawned a slew of classic rock anthems - “Bad Company” and “Ready For Love” - that continue to haunt arenas today.

Deemed one of the 70's first “super-groups,” Bad Company formed when powerhouse vocalist Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke, fresh from their split with Free, connected with guitarist Mick Ralphs from Mott the Hoople and bassist/vocalist Boz Burrell from King Crimson. The group was quickly scooped up by Led Zeppelin's manager and signed to their label. They went on to record a dozen chart-topping albums and continue to tour as a three-piece today.
