A word about submissions: We post what you give us, so please don't include your email address or any personal info. Your comments reach Rhino, not necessarily the writer, so don't expect a reply from them (or us, see our help section for contact info). We gather and post your submissions in batches, so do expect a short delay. And don't get bent if we edit your comments. We probably won't, but we reserve that right.
Comments:
Lefsetz made so many mistakes in his Letter about Chicago. He kept calling the band the Beach Boys. They recorded VII at the Caribou ranch, not whatever studio he said. The Beach Boys did back up on the tune "Wishing You Were Here" and not on "I've Been Searching So Long." Then there was a ridicuolous story he was telling about "I've Been Searching So Long" and him hearing it on the radio after a festival. Then he discovers that, according to release dates, that was not the song he was hearing when he was leaving the festival. It may be the longest and most self indulgent non sequitor I have ever heard.
I have often wondered about some of his factual information on other artists. But when it comes to Chicago, I know. He doesn't.
Terrific interview with Crystal Zevon--but where's "the complete unedited interview"? I wanna hear more!
I knew you guys wouldn't have the stones to publish a negative comment on this or any other podcast.
No new episodes in three weeks? I miss my Rhinocast!
Awesome--but: Where's the complete unedited interview?
so what's happened to the Rhinocasts?
where are the new rhinocasts?
Has Bob gone on vacation? I've not had a new podcast since May 11 ... and I miss him!
I discovered your podcasts back in March of this year. They introduced me to Bob Lefsetz, and he has passionately reaquainted me with some of the music of my youth! The rest of the podcast is also inspiring...now I am afraid that they have ended as the last podcast was posted on 5/11/07, with no notice as to why there has been a lack of activity. I hope this was not one of the results of the layoffs that I had read about. Your podcasts take me back to the enthusiasm and craziness that Warner Brothers used to display in their prime...Say It Ain't So!
where are the new podcasts? R u taking summer vacation?
You are hard to reach....
RE: Rappers Delight
If you watch "FINE LIVING" you will see a segment on "TOMBOY TOOLS".
If you listen you will hear them using more than the "3 second rule" of the song, Rappers Delight.
You may have given them permission, you may have not, but I just thought you would want to know.
Take care.
RAPPERs DELIGHT...
Its on the show called " I WANT THAT".
Is #65 the last podcast? Leftsetz, we miss you!
'Splain it to me, Lucy. What happened to my Rhinocasts?
I need my Lefsetz!
Where is my Rhinocast? I really miss Bob Lefsetz BIG TIME! Please bring him back.
Hey! Where's the new podcasts? Last one was May 11! I want more, please!
Great Rhinocast. Great group, now different but still sound the best. Need to be in R and R Hall of Fame!
