Brian Wilson: NY Steak.

Q: Was there ever anything your mom used to make you eat because it was "good for you" that you just hated?
BW: No, but Dennis HATED tomatoes!

Q: What food makes you feel the guiltiest?
BW: All desserts, especially See's Candy. I love See's Candy!

Q: Is there anything you won't eat either for dietary or moral reasons?
BW: Nothing.

Q: Do you follow any kind of exercise regimen?
BW: I go to the park and exercise three times a day. I try to anyways. I run a lot.

Q: What's the best advice you would give someone trying to lose weight?
BW: Don't get discouraged. Stay on your diet.

Q: A number of Beach Boys tracks touch upon issues of food and health.Tell us about the song "Vegetables."
BW: It was to let people know that if you eat veggies you will be healthy. We were a bunch of liars during that time. We didn't eat veggies while making that song.

Q: What about the song "H.E.L.P. Is On The Way"?
BW: It was about a health food restaurant in Los Angeles (1969) We used to eat there a lot.

Q: How about the song "Life Is For The Living"?
BW: It is about getting up early and not dwelling on death but life.

Q: Didn't you have a health food store in the '60s called The Fragrant Vegetable? What's the story behind that?
BW: No, My store was called the Radiant Raddish. In 1970 I went into business with my friend Arny Gellar and my cousin Steve Korthof. We each owned 1/3 of the store. It went out of business one year after we opened.

Q: Some of your late-'80s solo releases deal with health or nutrition.Tell us about the song "Too Much Sugar."
BW: Sugar is poison. If you eat too much sugar you get poisoned. It is bad on the nervous system. That is what the song is about.

Q: Tell us about the song "He Just Couldn't Get His Poor Old Body To Move."
BW: It is about a guy too lazy to exercise. Therefore he doesn't get the benefit of exercise.

Q: Your 1988 solo album also focuses strongly on "spiritual health."What's the best example you can give to illustrate the tie between physical and mental well-being?
BW: Oxygen to the brain is the physical, which helps the mental. They go together hand in hand.
