Hot Wax: The Doors, Roxette, Alphaville, and Trans Siberian Orchestra

It’s time to take a look at some of the new Rhino vinyl reissues coming out this week, and boy howdy, do we have a stellar foursome for you this week…

• The Doors, GREATEST HITS – You already know all of the classic tracks that are included on this best-of LP, but you’ve never owned it like this, i.e. on white vinyl. Very important to remember, however, that this is a Walmart exclusive, so if you want a copy, that’s where you’ve gotta go. 

• Roxette, LOOK SHARP! – Not the debut album by this Swedish duo, but the second album,  and the one that successfully broke them around the world. “The Look,” “Dressed for Success,” “Dangerous,” “Listen to Your Heart,” they’re all on here and ready for you to enjoy all over again.

• Alphaville, FOREVER YOUNG – The German synthpop band’s finest hour by most people’s estimation, but certainly their most commercially successful by a considerable margin. Just the title track and “Big in Japan” make it a must-own all by themselves.

• Trans Siberian Orchestra, THE GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS EVE – With the holidays just around the corner, who among us could resist picking up a vinyl copy of this TSO classic? (We’re hoping you can’t, obviously.)
