Doing A 180: The Grateful Dead, Shrine Exhibition Hall, Los Angeles, CA 11/10/1967

You can never have too many Grateful Dead live albums - just ask any Deadhead, they'll tell you - but even in a field as crowded as this one, Shrine Exhibition Hall, Los Angeles, CA 11/10/1967 truly stands out, which is why we're thrilled to release it on 180-gram vinyl as part of our Start Your Ear Off Right campaign.

Why does it stand out? Well, for one, check out that date. When was the last time you heard a Dead show from '67? Unless you're a true diehard, it's highly probable that you've never heard one, so that makes it special from the get-go. For another, this is the first time one of the concerts from our 30 Trips Around the Sun set has earned its own release, which is another accomplishment of note.

What was the set list like back then? Well, here's the track list of the album, which should serve to answer your question:

Vinyl 1, Side A
01 Viola Lee Blues
02 It Hurts Me Too

Side B
01 Beat It On Down The Line
02 Morning Dew
03 Good Morning Little Schoolgirl

Vinyl 2, Side A

The above information may also answer your question as to how many LPs there are, but here are a few more facts:

o The set has been mixed and mastered by Jeffrey Norman from the 8-track analog master tapes.
o Also assisting in the mastering: Grammy-winning engineer David Glasser
o There will only be 6,700 copies of the set released worldwide.

That last one really got your attention, didn't it? This is no time for kidding around, Deadheads. If this sounds like a must-own to you - and we know it does - then you'd better get on the stick and order a copy ASAP!
