R.E.M.’s LIVE IN GREENSBORO EP will be released on CD in anticipation of the release of GREEN: 25TH ANNIVERSARY DELUXE EDITION in May. The five-track EP features live performances from the band’s Greensboro, North Carolina show from November 10, 1989. While the bulk of this show is featured in the Green reissue, all five of these tracks were not included due to time constraints and can only be found here, including “So. Central Rain,” “Feeling Gravitys Pull,” and “I Remember California.” Limited to 2,500 copies, the disc comes with an original (non-reproduction) patch from the Green Tour. These patches were recently uncovered in the band’s vault.
Grateful Dead’s RARE CUTS & ODDITIES 1966 features a variety of early live and studio tracks recorded in the spring of 1966 and produced by Owsley Stanley. The set was originally released on a limited basis in 2005 but has long been out of print. Record Store Day will bring a 2-LP 180-gram vinyl version, limited to 6,600 copies and featuring new cover art. RARE CUTS & ODDITIES 1966 will also be available on CD.

We're also releasing three offerings in Warner Bros. Records’ “Side By Side” series, which features limited edition 7-inch vinyl with the original version of an iconic song on one side and a signature cover of the same song on the other. The first release is a milky clear colored 7-inch with The Doors’ “Soul Kitchen” paired with X’s version, which was produced by Doors’ keyboardist Ray Manzarek (3,000 copies). The second is the Misfits’ “Skulls” paired with The Lemonheads’ version, presented on a 7-inch skull picture disc (4,000 copies). The final “Side By Side” is a mystery release. Packaged in a “top secret” sleeve, the artists will be unknown to the purchaser until they open the vinyl. Expect to be more than pleasantly surprised when picking up one of these (5,000 copies).

Robert Smith of The Cure and longtime friend Steve Severin of Siouxsie & The Banshees formed The Glove in 1983, taking their name from a character in the film “Yellow Submarine.” The pair made only one album, BLUE SUNSHINE, a fantastical excursion into experimental pop. Jeanette Landray sang most of the album’s lead vocals, with the exception of two Smith leads. Limited to 3,500 individually numbered copies, BLUE SUNSHINE will be released as a single LP on blue vinyl.

Signed to Atlantic Records in 1969, Hathaway would go on to release four solo albums with the label as well as the legendary duet album Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway. Though his recording career was brief, Hathaway has continued to be one of the most influential soul artists of the last 40 years. This exclusive 7-inch single features Hathaway at his soulful best with two previously unreleased tracks, an incredibly powerful cover of Addrissi & Addrissi’s classic hit “Never My Love” b/w his self-penned “Memories of Our Love.” This release was developed for Record Store Day in the UK and limited to 2,500 copies worldwide, only 1,000 of which will be available in US.
