The Four Seasons
Carolers around the world pride themselves on their harmonies, but few can hold a candle to The Four Seasons. Originally released in 1962 on Vee-Jay as THE 4 SEASONS GREETINGS (the group's second studio longplayer), THE FOUR SEASONS' CHRISTMAS ALBUM captures the quartet in fine form on 13 holiday favorites. With producer Bob Crewe at the helm, the set is split between orchestrated traditional songs (“What Child Is This?,” “The Little Drummer Boy”) and more playful material (“Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus”) in arrangements similar to the band's hits. The boys from Jersey deliver some of the most enjoyable sounds of the season on THE FOUR SEASONS' CHRISTMAS ALBUM.
